L'Agriturismo Podere San Agostino offers a peaceful retreat immersed in the simplicity of the Tuscan Maremma. Located near the sea and picturesque villages rich in history, wine, and thermal springs, it is the ideal place for those who wish to indulge in a bit of peace and tranquility. Far from the hectic pace of life, external influences, and sensory overload.
We wish to dedicate this house to those who need a relaxing and tranquil place, also ideal for remote work. We have chosen to host only a few people to ensure the most private environment possible.

The house and the garden
The house does not offer luxury in the conventional sense, but rather the luxury of the essential. There is no television, but there is internet, allowing for online work in a peaceful setting. The kitchen is functional and also features a beautiful wood-fired oven, perfect for authentically cooking pizza, fish, and all types of meat.
The appartment
The apartment, equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay, can accommodate up to four people. It consists of two large bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, a kitchen, and a spacious living room. The furnishings are simple and functional. The rooms remain pleasantly cool in the summer, so there is no need for air conditioning. Here you can experience the true luxury of simple living close to nature and the traditional lifestyle.
The garden
Outside, there is a large, shaded terrace with sofas and a table, ideal for working online or reading a book. Several small spots provide space for retreat. If you want to refresh yourself on hot summer days, there is a pool available to you. There is also the possibility of having a barbecue outdoors and enjoying the mild summer evenings with a dinner on the terrace.
Where the garden ends, the vineyard, olive grove, or forest begins. In autumn, you can taste our grapes, enjoy our olive oil, and listen to the birds in the forest – in the morning, especially the golden oriole sings, and as dusk falls, the pairs of Scops owls begin their conversation. This is why they are called "the owls that bring summer nights to life."
Stefano, your host, lives upstairs. He is there when you need him and otherwise respects your privacy. He was born and raised in Maremma and is happy to share his tips for your holiday in southern Tuscany. He knows the most beautiful beaches, the most authentic restaurants, and has great suggestions for excursions.
Need more space?
f you are more than four people, you can request the use of two additional rooms (one double and one single) and an extra bathroom. These rooms are available only on request and for a single group, with a maximum of seven people in total.

Granaione is a very special place, almost magical. As soon as you arrive, you feel a deep inner peace, a sense of tranquility and a sense of belonging. It may not be the most picturesque place in Tuscany with the most breathtaking views, but it is undoubtedly a special place with unique energy.

The beaches of Marina di Grosseto are just a 35-minute drive away. Castiglione della Pescaia, with its beautiful beaches, is 45 minutes away, while the stunning Bagno delle Donne in Talamone can be reached in 40 minutes.
Discover many other nearby excursion destinations: The thermal springs of Saturnia are just an hour away. The historic city of Massa Marittima is reachable in 55 minutes, and Montalcino, the jewel of Italian winemaking and home to Brunello di Montalcino, is only 45 minutes away.
